I am rebuilding my heater box in my 1974 Duster so I bought a new blower motor from Advanced Auto. I attached the motor to the motor plate, reattached the squirrel cage, and attached to the heater box.

With the new blower motor the squirrel cage is contacting the heater box. The new blower motor is called a “Uni-Motor”. It’s kind of weird because the studs are all thread. Is this what I am suppose to use adjust the distance from the squirrel cage to the heater box?

Seems like you should be able to slide the squirrel cage back far enough on the motor shaft to keep it from hitting the box? I guess if you have to you can use the threaded rod to adjust the position of the motor in relation to the box.
