Looks like my heater box isn't "level".. Tilting down from right to left. Is this normal..?

I would say, I don't know if it's abnormal, or fairly normal. I rebuilt mine but I think it still leans a bit.

I've never had my dash out to really get a good look but it looks ok to me. Both my A bodies have the floor vent on the transmission hump basically sitting on the carpet so I don't see a problem with your install. Cowl vent looks sealed as well. If your blower motor and heater core tubes are going through the firewall just fine, I don't think there's much else you could do.

Your fine! Get the rest of the cowl insulation, and pillar installed and smile!

That may be what it is.

My recollection is the position of the box is dictated mostly by the blower, heater core hose connections, and then the hook to the cowl.

I don't recall any play in the blower mounting.

It's possible an aftermarket heater core is throwing the position off a little.
Both of these are replacement cores but the one on the right installs without damaging the box.
