Got my heater reinstalled today and the motor has 2 wires. One with a female spade connector which I should have no trouble finding a home for. The other wire is a long brown one with two ring connectors about 3' apart. Anyone know where these terminate?
Thanks!

Uh, the same place from which they were removed? Shall we assume you are working on a Mopar of some description? May we further assume you did not take photos while you were disassembling, to which you could now refer?

Okay, enough busting your chops. I always take a lot of photos because I never know how long something will be apart and if it is more than about 20 minutes I will forget. See if the photos help.

So it appears the double terminal is a redundant ground. Thanks for the help. I have no defense other than I took the 67 Notch apart 6 years ago and while I took a lot of photos it appears I missed that. Thanks for the help!

After thinking about the great photos Rustedwrench posted about the heater fan lead grounding I realize that the purpose of the lead is twofold. It is to ground the heater core to prevent long term electrolisis of the heater core while continuing on to a body ground which grounds the heater core and gives a return path for the fan motor. Thanks RW-the light bulb is now lit. A problem for me is that I insulated the tubes where the hold down screws into the plastic base so if I terminate the wire there my heater core there it will not be grounded. Today I will devise another way to ground it. Thanks again for the help! Looking forward to an uninterrupted week of working on my BC, lots of action planned!!
