Want a good four pin GM look foe a old Kem. A Mopar box or a four pin is just a signal amplifier the coil can use.
hows that fit in an early A. Old distributor barely clears as is. I have a HEI (actually bosch module) all in one and have been looking for a year for just a stupid cap clip. Everyone sells the distributor, no one knows who makes it or where to get parts.
I have serpentine as well.What did you do? I've got mine broke in but not sure the alternator is hooked up right. BTW I'm running a Magnum 408 with stock serpentine set up
Changing back from the import HEI to a full Mopar system because the module failed? Seriously? That's pretty laughable when this would have fixed it.
It wasn't the HEI module that failed, it was the pickup assembly.
I just used a Mopar breakerless dist. with a GM 4 pin. As an experiment, I DID NOT USE a heat sink, but just mounted it to a "flat" spot on the firewall near the wiper motor. I also simply used the factory coil. Works just fine, hotter spark than the Mopar ECU. I think it was Greg, Trailbeast? who redid my poor diagram for this one. Notice the orientation of the distributor connector. It must be wired so, or the rotor phase will be "off"

I also threw one "into a box" for emergency and test ignition. So far I've "test fired" several engines with it. Just hook the alligator clips to power, ground, and connect the distro

Did not even install manifolds!!

Even test-fired a Magnum. Made a quicky crappy carb adapter for the beer keg manifold, jacked up the pan with bricks and threw an engine plate and flywheel on. Fired it right up!!
LMFAO Anybody figure out what this is?

Just as easily found. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Just run what you like.

using this distributor

And this coil / HEI module
I didn't use the module that came with the coil, I bought a $10 4 pin module and used appliance grade spade connectors. Since I ordered everything new, I wouldn't have to search for a harness. I mounted mine on the passenger side firewall since it was much less crowded. I took the part of the factory harness that attached to the distributor and attached them to the module.

Stock alternator will be fine
