Hellcats not impressed..

Marty has a Tor Red one being built this week. The guy that ordered it backed out but he has 3 more in line. This guy is real!

They are fast , you get a lot of car for the money , what more do you want . And all your trophies , you really need others to stroke your ego , I enjoy driving my car , don't give a F what others think of it .

Good for you..and trust me i don't need anyone to stroke my ego its big enough on my own...

As far as sticker I would suggest calling Dave Smith in Kellogg Idaho. Largest volume Dodge dealer forever. They used to sell everything including SRT below sticker. They wereven something like $500 over invoice weather a Viper or a minivan. I don't know if that's still the case but you don't become the biggest trying to make $20,000 on 5 special cars a year but $500 each on selling 50 cars a day. Then as a plus you get even more of an allotment of the special cars in the future.

$65k ??my duster has been 11.00's for less then 30k...complete built car..all you "homers" keep lovin' those mexican hemi imported plastic wonders:D:D:D

Can your car go 202 mph? These cars are not for 1/4 mile blasts. They are made for the Silver State Classic events in the Unlimited(gotta have big balls for that class) or Super Sport class. That weight keeps these SRTs and Hellcats hunkered down at those speeds.

You can get with this.....

No i can't but big deal for what they cost they should go that fast..

You dont have a valid argument at all. Hmm lets see lets go this route.

Bugatti Veyron vs. Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Bugatti Veyron
-16 cylinder 64 valve 8.0 liter
-922lb-ft torque
-7 speed
-Quad Turbos
-1200HP
-Top Speed 254mph
-Fuel Economy City/Hwy 8/14
-0-60 2.9 seconds
-1/4mile time 10.8 seconds @ 140mph
-Braking 100-0 103'
-2 passenger
-Curb Weight 4300lbs
-Cost $2.7million
-$2250 per 1HP

Challenger Hellcat
-8 cylinder 16 valve 6.2 liter
-650lb-ft torque
-6 speed
-Supercharged
-707hp
-Top Speed 202mph
-Fuel Economy City/Hwy 13/22
-0-60 2.9 seconds
-1/4mile time 10.8 seconds @ 126mph Drag Radials 11.2 street tires @ 125mph
-Braking 70-0 154'
-5 passenger
-Curb Weight 4449lbs
-Cost lets just say $80k by your cost.
-$114 per 1HP

Or according to you the Bugatti Veyron should go about Mach 3.3 or as fast as the SR-71 Blackbird at that price. So gotta say the Hellcat is a hell of a machine.

I'd drive that (Crop) Duster ALL. DAY. LONG.

And if I had $65k, I'd sure be in line for a Hellcat. Sierra Hotel.

I was going to post something similar to this. A comparison of a few of the top hyper cars, their power, 0-60, 1/4 times. In short. The hellcat beats them all. It keeps pace with the best that comes out of lambo, ferrari, bugatti, mclaren, etc. While being at minimum half the cost. You can not even begin to get close to the hellcats power without spending 150K or greater.

Be "unimpressed" all you want. The car is a beast, doesn't skimp on luxuries that modern drivers love and moves 4500lbs pretty damn fast. If you put that thing on a diet, it would be a street car that was more than capable of low 10's/high 9's.

What's wrong with less plastic(s)?

The Crop Duster is great...You cannot compare two cars between them are 40 years and $ 60.000.-

The comparison with the Bugatti is better...

How about go the other way? A base 2015 Mustang is a pretty good all around musclecar for $23,000 or maybe even a little less brand new. 305 hp for 1/3 or 1/4 the price of the 707 hp Hellcat. Best thing is you can just rent one and beat the hell out of it!
Anybody that can even afford the Mustang as a toy let alone the Hellcat in this economy is doing pretty well. I'm pretty happy with a $11,000 used Hemi Aspen that actually does everything in need a vehicle to do pretty well.

Now none of you can tell me that you wouldn't pass a chance to take one of these guy's places driving one of these cars....

No desire what so ever...

Wow! You don't know a golden opportunity... :farao: :farao: :farao:

[or are too stubborn to admit that you would] :violent1: :violent1: :violent1:

I'm not a huge fan of the "new Chrysler", but I'd still jump on an opportunity to thrash one of them for a few days with "no strings attached"....

Since a HellCat Charger has a top end of 204MPH, I wonder how this thing would qualify at Daytona as delivered?

I understand that it probably couldn't finish a 500 mile race, but it would be interesting to see a lap time & qualifying speed out of it.

Think of the ink you could get if it could be achieved, after all, we were expected to believe that a Tundra towed the Space Shuttle. LOL
