hello this is my first time posting on this web sit as i am new to this site great site been reading for awhile i own a 1970 dart swinger /6 904 need some info .looking to drop in a 318 i already have done reaserch on motor mounts engine combo ect. need to know if i can keep my torsion bars i will not be doing any drag racing on the track just a weekend car ocasional car cruise also wondering if drum brakes would be ok till i get the funds to swap in disk brakes. By the way getting ready for hurricane wilma

Welcome! Unfortunatly, I don't know what you need to know, so I can't answer.
 
Welcome to the board.
I did run on the street with the 6cly torsion bars, with a big block under the hood.
Handleing was horrible at best. The brakes worked, but I did have the rears already upgraded to the 11" drums. But I evntually switched it to disks up front.
You need to be able to stop these things.
I'm not sure about the weight difference between the /6 and the small block, but the big block was a bunch heavier.
You might want to do a good inspection of the front end parts before you get the new engine in. I found a horribly bad lower ball joint, at that time
