My name is Lee. I live in Osage Beach, MO. I'm a civil engineer for the city. I became a civil engineer, because I like designing and figuring out how things work, but I didn't want my hobby to become my career. Right now I have a 1998 Dodge Neon R/T with a SRT-4 Turbo. I've had it since freshman year of college in 2005. I'm gonna keep it for one more season and then sell to start an A-Body project with a Gen 3 hemi swap. I haven't picked up an A-body yet, but I really like the 67-69 notchback Barracudas. I also like the 70-73 Dusters/Demons. The muscle car that I've loved since I was 12, is the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, but I'd like a lighter car like an A-body. I love Vipers but they are just not affordable to me. In case you couldn't tell, its Mopar or No Car for me.

I started my research about a month ago and this site is freaking awesome. The amount of info and its organization is amazing. I look forward to learning more and becoming a part of the A-body community.

Thank you,
Lee

Welcome to FABO. Not sure how close you are to this link, but here's a 68 fastback in your state for sale.

Here's another one, selling fastbacks and notches.

Or this one. Doesn't state which body style, but still pretty decent price.

Here's a ragtop if you got the money.

I'm in KC, moved here from Springfield.

Do you have the whole 2.4 in your first-gen Neon, or just the Turbo? I'd love to do that to my Neon and have always wondered what's involved.

Wish some south western Missouri mopar fans would show up lol. Welcome aboard and hope you find a good a-body soon.

Thanks for the great welcomes and car pics.

Cuda20 and Ma Snart, I will be dreaming of your cars tonight after I quit drooling on my computer.

70DartMike, thanks for the links. I search for cudas and dusters weekly on cl and ebay but unfortunately funds aren't there to buy one yet. Fortunately Osage Beach is just a 3-4 hour trip to St. Louis or Kansas City. Lots of good cars still out there waiting for me to restore them. Just gotta get my butt in gear.

jos51700, I've still got the factory 2.0 DOHC in my neon running 8-10 psi with a SRT-4 turbo. I started to collect parts for a 2.4 DOHC build with SRT-4 rods/pistons, but decided I was tired of dumping money into a FWD. There's a lot of research needed to do it and probably 30 hours of labor/troubleshooting in the build. It's possible but make sure you have a backup car to drive for a couple weeks. PM me with any questions you might have, and I'll feed you info till your brain explodes lol. I've got a lot of good links and how-tos saved.

JRDART, I hear ya man. There's not enough Mopar fans in the state of Missouri period.
