Welcome. Lots of good info here. AC with a 318...nice cruiser. If you pull the motor...check if its numbers matching. Adds to the value of the car.
Not gunna lie those commercials crack me upAm I smelling an "Emu" Duster build? Sure it's a bit commercial? But you would get some attention? Lol.

That’s what we wondered as well. Don’t know how it avoided rust, but the mid body stripes line up perfectly and don’t look like they were ever re-done. Don’t know much about the cars history. Only thing I can imagine is maybe it was shaded or somewhat parked under something? The trunk, roof and passenger side has the most, so maybe just happened to be parked at an angle where driver door and a good amount of hood preserved? I’ll take a closer pic of what o meant with the stripeslooks great! How did the driver door avoid the sun baking? Or was it repainted/replaced at some point?
Yes! Was shocked once we got some of the old foggy clear off how great it ended up looking! So much character. Totally love it too. The sun was dang near down. I’ll have to see if pic looks any different in mid day sunAwesome! Now that it's painted..... Seriously, I love it
We were super shocked how straight the car was! A little comet wash really made the blue pop. It’s a shame because pics don’t do it Justice. Never thought I’d fall in love with patina haha but I’m loving this one!Wow looking good already! I love how straight and rust free that car is. You don't them like that around here.
If you are happy with it leave it the way it is. I love a survivor! I I also love a beautiful restored freshly painted car too. But all that really matters is what you want. I've seen alot of patina cars on here that I absolutely love @75slant6 has an amazing patina duster. We were super shocked how straight the car was! A little comet wash really made the blue pop. Exactly! And I figured, enjoy the patina for a while and if some years go by, can always paint it later! If you are happy with it leave it the way it is. I love a survivor! The best advice I got when I bought my Duster back in 2014 was “you can either tear the car apart and work on it for years, or get it drivable and enjoy it. Patina is the “in thing” right now, so maybe ride that fad until it’s gone, then restore the car” am I ever glad I followed that advice!! I’ve heard far too many stories where someone bought a car, tore it to pieces, then there is sat for the next decade. And I have no doubt I would’ve been one of those cases. So instead, it took me about 2 years to get the car drivable, and I’ve been enjoying the heck out of it since!Exactly! Here was the day I bought the car.

And here she is now after installing an HDK front suspension, new rear springs to drop the whole car about 2”

I absolutely love driving this thing. It’s my daily driver as long as the roads aren’t treated or I have the car torn apart for some type of upgrade. Heck, we even took it on a 1000 mile round trip out to western Missouri to my in-laws over Christmas! I love nice, shiny, restored cars. But for a personal driver, I like em ratty!
Welcome to FABO!
