I've been a long time Mopar fan. I had a 80's Camaro as my first car at 15 and then bought a mid 70's Mustang a couple years later. Boy, was I a confused teenager! I finally sold them both and bought my first REAL car when I joined the service in 04'. It was a 1971 Demon that I bought in Sacramento. A slant six 225ci, 904, and manual everything. Absolutely loved it!! I spent so much time and money on that car that it literally cost me my first wife (did me a favor). Unfortunately, after swapping the 225 for a stroker 451 pulling 605hp/677tq at the wheels, built 727 with 3500tq converter, 8 3/4 with 4.11 and sure grip, disc brakes all the way around, and about $13k of performance steering and suspension upgrades, I ended up having to sell the car to make up for the loss of divorce! Felt like I sold my soul, and nothing was the same after that. Since I am an infatuated gearhead with an inconsolable lust for Mopars, I eventually got a hold of several cars after that. I've owned so many that I really feel shameful to mention. Anyway, I had been looking for a 1971 Demon for a while with no turnout! They are just too much money, or already built. So I decided to make my own! I got a 1976 Dodge Dart Sport and have been chipping away at it's ugliness in order to make it look like the sexy Demon. It's powered by a dying 318, 904, and 8 1/4 rear. I'm eventually going to swap for a 408stroker, A833 4speed, and going to leave the 8 1/4 alone until it blows.
