When I purchased my cuda I was informed that it was the original engine and that the only things that had been changed was the spark plugs and wires. At the time I really didn't care to much but thought it would be nice if it was in fact true.
Now fast-forward to today I have the engine out and I am sure that the car is not #'s matching. First mystery is that my heads have been painted orange with blue underneath. The block is the original color red. Second the new spark plugs I got for napa didn’t fit they are Auto lights #64 and the plugs in the engine are AP 45. These plugs are much wider. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? My engine is a 273 but the top half had been removed and painted and or peplaced. Lastly what would be my gap size???

Champions were stock and what I use. Theres a updated number for the part. You can spec them in regular size or the smaller hex head. The auto part store should be able to cross ref this for you.

Your gap is .035
