I was looking at a police impound auction listing and saw this:

VIN - D13AB2S562499
1972 Dodge

Any idea what this might be? The VIN decoder here comes back with a lot of invalid fields.

That one is a head scratcher. Did you get Monaco for a model, with a slant 6?
Don't remember ever seeing one of those, but I do remember seeing the S as the seventh digit in a VIN. It was on my 73 Sportsman van made in St. Louis. Best guess I can give you is a 3/4 ton (AB) 72 van. And yes, they did have slant sixes in them.

I best I found:

Dodge Polara/Monaco
Price-unknown
Body type-unknown
188 100HP 1 bbl 6 cyl
1972
Plant-unknown
462,498th made
