Hello all!

I apologize if this is not the correct place to ask, but I cannot seem to find good info online and this forum seems to have the closest user base to what I'm looking for.

I have a 74' w200 with a 5.9L 360 and automatic transmission in it, and I am looking for a replacement carburetor. It currently has a Holley 2210 - which seems to have the bolt pattern listed from Holley as a 2gc Large Bore. I was hoping to get suggestions on which carbs might bolt on without adapters, as I seem to be striking out in my search, if not then any that might be suitable with an adapter.

Thank you for your time!

RockAuto, among others.

A GM 2barrel will also fit for a 350 or larger engine but the air filter is different

That is good to hear. I saw the Rochester 2gc is around the same bolt pattern. I'm actually unsure if it mine exactly the same 3-11/16 x 2-1/16in like the Rochester, it measures around that, but I can't find any official documentation saying what it is supposed to be exactly.

These NOS Stromberg 2 barrels run real nice on a 360, and have the large mopar 2 bbl bolt pattern.

Excellent throttle response on a stock build 360, and idles back down nicely too.

Just curious, but is there some reason you don't like the Holley 2210.

Oh nice! That looks promising. This would work on an automatic transmission? I was reading there are certain types of carbs for automatics.

You will have to set up the kickdown linkage for your small block 727 transmission.

Something like this, but to work with the Stromberg 2 bbl on your 360.

These NOS Strombergs came on the 383s with the big block 727s.

Here is a replacement Holley 2210 Reman carb if you just want to bolt on and go with your original setup without having to modify things.

Holley 2210 is a good carb too.

A couple of years back, I ended up with about 5-6 of the 2210 carbs. I took them to swap meets, even tried selling them here to no avail. They went to the scrap pile and then to the recycler.

Oh wow. Yes, I have learned they are not a popular carb by any means haha. I don't like I have to take it apart to adjust float level personally.

My suggestion would be to hunt a four barrel intake and put an Edelbrock carb on it. Out of the box, those carbs are plug and play with little or no maintenance.

2 to 4 barrel adapters at Jeggs and Advance Auto Parts > 20 bucks. Mr. Gasket

Then throw on a 1406 Edelbrock 4 barrel and good to go, no pulling the stock manifold or messing with the camshaft and lifters.

I believe that 2 barrel Holley is a truck carb on a small block. My '78 Dodge van with a 360 had a stage lll truck engine , a 2 barrel Holley. Had an old beater Chrysler, '73? Had a 400 engine with the same Holley 2-barrel. Manifolds are different from the Carter 2 barrel. The Holley was a good carb and used stock Holley jets.

I won't red X you, but 360 manifolds all have the same 2bbl. pattern- it was the 273/318 manifolds that had a different carb mounting pattern. They used Holley or Carter carbs depending on year and application. The same mounting pattern was used on big block 2bbls., which used the Carter/Holley carb or the Stromberg. The 273/318 carb mounting pattern was completely different, as it was smaller dimensionally (there were Holley/Carter/Stromberg carbs for the 273/318 pattern, too).

I stand corrected! I was told earlier this year by another member that they were different. I didn't want to mess around trying to rejet my Carter on my '72 318. The Holley is easy, but was told that the intakes were different, so I played with the Carter till it drove better.
