ok i was putting in the new insterment dash part i got from bubba , and my dumb *** for got to un hook the battery . and the +red wire hit the -black wire long enuff to have smoke and hurd a pop . now i have now eletric to the hole car checked the fueses and all are good under driver side dash is there any other fuses or what do i need to do to fix this . its a 68 valiant by the way .


asap please cause this is my driver . and im trying to fix it now.

Sounds like you fried the fusible link, it runs from the solenoid to the bulkhead connection, parts stores carry them.
 
Under the hood, look at the wires that come off the start solenoid it goes back towards the firewall, it should have a plastic tag on in showing what gauge it is, 12 gauge if I remember correctly.
Don't get in a hurry when working with electrical on these old cars things fry really easy.
