o man thanks again to everyone for all the responses i have so much great info to start my project.

so im a little confused on the roll cage/roll bar thing i always thought you had to have a roll cage for a ten second car. please keep all the advice coming im going to be starting my project real soon im just composing a list of things to start my project off with, and again thank you so much for all the help
 
yeah im thinking roll cage, like i said i only plan on making a 11 second car for now but to make it a 10 second car over time, and wouldnt a roll cage add chassis strenght
 
Yes it would. Also do frame connectors.
 
10.00-11.49 requires a roll bar with a door bar on drivers side, 5 point. Most put the door bars on each side, 6 point even though the pass door bar is not required. You can put a 10-12 point roll cage in it as well. As long as you meet the minimum standard for the time you want to run.
