I have a 69 Dart 2 door hardtop 340 4 speed car. Was originally hemi orange from what I can tell and had a vinyl top, and what looks to be a place where a gt badge used to be.
The fender tag is missing, I can get a picture of the rear and get Vin #Do you have the VIN or fender tag info? Maybe a shot of the tail?
This is the front fender in the upper rear are on both fenders
No holes on sides from front to backI am pretty sure that in 69 the GT was only slant six, 273 or 318. 340 or bigger would have been a GTS in 69.
The GT should also show signs (trim holes) of front to back side trim.
The VIN shows it is a factory 340 4 speed. Most likely a Swinger.
Factory 340 means the manual transmission had to be a 4 spd.How can you tell its a 4 sp from the VIN ?
The OP stated it was a manual transmission car. They didnt come with 727s ?
I understand, just trying to explain between running the fertilizer spreader over the lawn LOL! Sorry for the short answers.Oh..ok..
My questions were sincere and not meant to be argumentative... I thought maybe the VIN indicated trany...
Yep, you could get them in later years.Interesting... For some reason I thought you could get a 3sp with a 340 car. Seems like I saw a reference to one once.
Did later models come with 340 and 3pd ?
Yes, the nine was missing...but it wasn’t hard to figure out that it was.1 digit was missing in the VIN, LM23P9B286162
