I am trying to finish up my upgrades on my 360. After priming the oil system with the old drive shaft with out the gear, I tried to install the Mildon shaft and gear. It is bottoming out inside the engine. I measured both the original and the mildon with calipers. They are are the same diameter, but the original piece is smaller on the bottom where it appears to be hitting. Has anyone else had an issue like this? The original shaft slips in with no problems. I only bought the "upgraded shaft" because I needed to install a bronze gear and the original shaft didn't have a hole drilled for the new bronze gear. I though I would save myself a headache, and now I have a bigger headache.
