HELP! who has actually shipped a long block 340 before?

who has shipped one? what company? from where to where? cost? did you pallet it up or did they?

please give me all the info you can. thanks alot guys
 
How did you ship the rear end? The advise on that thread would pretty much apply here. Terminal to terminal with your pallet and shipping supplies. You would have to make sure that there is a terminal on the buyers end.

What I used to ship for and current cost is way far a part now. 2005 I was able to ship a dressed motor from Flordia to Oklahoma for $85.00 but no more.
 
well, the rear i took and boxed up the axles seperate, so i can now just hip that through ups

the engine is a different story. the guy works 6 days a week, and not able to pick up at terminal, so it has to go to his door, and they want 165.00 more just for that, and 355 to deliver. i sold the engine for almost that much!!!!!!!!

They will also charge more if they have to send a lift gate truck so make sure you ask if that is included in the quote.

Can he get delivery at his work location? If so do they have a forklift or a dock? If not does he have a friend with a business location with a dock or forklift that could accept delivery?
