Restoring a '69 Dart, build sheet calls for B7 interior. So door uppers and bottom in B7 urethane gloss. I'm assuming the dash and pad are in B7 satin (low sheen)? Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated

Dash is a special light textured blend called suede...paint store has it

Check the factory service manual. In the body section (iirc) it calls out paint type and sheen, at least in 67

I'd like to see what B7 interior looks like. What is the exterior color? My car is B7 but interior is black deluxe.

I think that's correct and steering column would be satin as well

I know the B7 color's been talked about here before, and my car was repainted in the late 70's. After removing parts recently that were masked over for that repaint by whoever, this B7 color more represents what my car looks like on the inner top portion of the inner door. Especially behind the heater blower motor on the firewall.

The dash pad is vinyl molded in colors, just like seats and door cards. Its quite flat. That lack of shine is what made Armorall and Son Of A Gun brands wealthy. I suppose one could dye a dash pad with with the same dye used on those other vinyls and plastics. I dont know what effect intense sun light/heat would have on it so the dash cap is one part of my 67 black interior that I did not dye. The original owner had taken very good care of this dash cap. I didn't want to shorten its life, have it look a little better for a couple years, then crack. Good luck with yours.

A56,
B7 is such a cool color! Looking real good!

69 Dodge Service manual calls for Baltic Blue Metallic in suede finish. Does anyone know who would carry this or a paint formula?

Instrument Specialties has the suede PPG lacquer paint in pint size for you interior parts. It is a little pricey but works great and looks great

What model is your 69 Dart?
I have being trying to figure out the different blue interiors shades that were used in the 1969 Dart 2 door models and if there were different UDF colors used.

The GTS and GT models had the P6B blue interior.
The Swinger model had the blue L2B and the optional blue D2B interiors.
The Dart Custom 2 door model had the blue H2B interior.

My 69 GTS has the P6B blue interior and the seats are a somewhat light blue.
My broadcast sheet indicates a Upper Door Frame (UDF) paint code B3
The steering column is coded B7 as is the steering wheel.
I would assume that all 69 Darts with any of the above blue interior codes would all have the same blue colored dash and dash pad and steering column. Right?

You weren't kidding a out being pricey! $250US for a pint! That's Highway robbery! I've got an ashtray with the correct Blue Poly suede that I'm going to bring and have scanned at my local paint shop.

It has gone up since I bought a pint of it. The cost comes from the fact that the paint is no longer made and the suede. Paint in general is expensive.
Good luck with your project

Like said ^^^ your pro paint store an mix interior colors. My PPG guys mix it. Ain't cheap but NOT $250 a pint!!! Maybe $35?

For the DIYer, you can use Rustoleum fine texture from Walmart. It looks really close to the correct suede finish. I've only seen it in black though. Once you have the texture down in black, you can spray the dash/steering column your color of choice.

^^^ That looks darn good, and I love Rusteolum for doing floors in and out. Extremely tough! Only thing I will question is the durabilty under UV rays. But so many of our old cars sit in a garage and do good to tool down the road a few a month
