This happen to come up on a model car forum, I've been around the real thing long enough to know nothing is set in stone. So the question is, was there hollow cross bolts available for 426 Hemis? I could swear I have seen them and the line going to it from the pump to add extra oil to the mains, but it's been so long that I think I have seen them, there's no telling lol.

no! the side holes did not go clear thru the main caps to the bearings.

I have direct oiling to the 3 main bearings via the side bolts on my 64 plymouth street car. Not sure how the oil runs after the bolts. I wasn't there when my brother assembled the motor. Thats the hemi in my avatar picture
