Should have a few out here tonight. We are going to do this every other Thursday so if you can't make it out tonight there is always next time.

we are about an hour from Blue Island but I don't know if the track is still here.

Nope.. it closed in 2000 or 2001. That was a cool old track..

Didn't the drag strip close many years ago?
Went there when I was a kid in the 60s.
I lived not to far from there. Hinsdale, Il.
There was a lot of strips back then.
Union Grove, Wi. Oswego, Rockford, Il.
And US 30 in Gary, In.

my dad raced golden knights and s/s there for years in the 60s. i grew up there on weekends.
