I have 65 dart with slant 6. I run a 3 row champion radiator. I want to go with a pusher electric fan that runs 2500cfm or higher and it needs to be low profile. Can someone tell me where to find such a thing with wiring harness etc and how to install instructions or video would be nice>

Most folks on here tend to recommend a puller fan if going electric. Lots of posts on here about the puller vs pusher argument. I'd check Summit, they have about every kind of fan and controller you could want.

Ive researched it. Not enough room for puller, It will have to set in front of my radiator. they wiring part is what gets me, I suck at eletrical install!

I'm not great at electrics either. I used the Dakota Digital controller - I have dual pullers. Easy to wire up, even for me. Do a search here and a couple of members have posted really nice wiring diagrams. 318wilrun posted one I believe.

With the 66 Barracuda I am in same situation. Motor too close to radiator for a pull fan and factory solid fan wont pull enough air flow at idle with a shroud. I tried multiple electric fans and not a lot fit before or after the 3 core radiator.
There is a fan controller that put a copper tube between the top radiator hose and radiator and has an adjustable Turn on and Turn off switch to control temps. Battery + in and fan + out. Very simple. Summit sells them. Trying to find it for a part number. Eliminates electric issues for people less inclined to try their hand at wiring.

I recommend using spal, the problem is that high CFM airflow and slim design dont go together the more air you want to push you need a comparable sized motor. good luck

If u cant cool it w/ a mech fan , u either got a too small fan, too small rad., or under driven pullies . An elec fan wont pull or push as much air as the right mech fan , unless its one of the kick *** late factory deals .

It cools nicely. I just hate that ugly metal fan and the noise that goes with it!

HHMM, CANT HEAR MY FAN AT ALL WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, COURSE , U CANT HEAR ANYTHING ANYWHERE ---------LOL

Though less than ideal, I’m forced to run a pusher. SPAL fans are known for actually moving their advertised cfm.

For me, a 16” (30102047) has worked. Had to modify the hood latch/grille brace for fitment. Not quiet though. A1 Electric Online Catalog -- Spal Cooling Fans and Accessories

Unless there are some other issues going on it shouldn’t be too tough to cool that S6 with the aluminum rad. Control the air flow. Close any big gaps between the rad and core support (with seals) so air is forced through the core - not allowed to leak around it.

Well actually the little metal fan with a three-quarter Champion radiator does coolant nicely. I just hate the way it looks and I only have about 3/4 of an inch clearance from my radiator to the metal fan I don’t like that. That’s why I want electric something I can mount outside the radiator frame next to the grill instead of inside the engine housing.

Look at the Flex A Lite Black Magic line of fans. They MOVE some air.

My 1964 Valiant slant came with a front pusher fan from a M-B and no fan on the water pump. Some gomer wired it direct to IGN on the key switch and melted the switch. The car was overheating slightly on the drive home, even though a 50 F day. That fan just barely fits between the grill struts. I plan to also put one in my 1965 Dart. I have the same fan on my 1985 M-B, but it also has a mechanical clutch fan. I think the electric fan is intended to help the AC condenser and only turns on due to refrigerant temperature at the filter/drier, so might not suffice to cool your slant. If you get one, also grab the vertical mounting bars and cut the wires long after the connector. In general, electric fans move less air than a mechanical one. An exception might be the Taurus 2-speed fan, which hot-rodders like. You also need a 40 A relay to drive the fan, or perhaps a solid-state relay like my 1996 Plymouth minivan uses (~$25, riveted to front bumper for cooling). There is no room to fit a clutch fan in an early-A slant, even the thinnest one (Jaguar). They recessed the water pump into the side of the block to barely fit the engine in (as did GM straight 6, I think).

Do you have a video of this running with the fans on? I must also run a pusher fan in my dodge truck with a small block 671.

I’ve got this 18” version (they have smaller) on the front of my radiator purely to help cooling between runs at the track. It moves the air through the radiator quite well when I run it for that but it also blows a good bit from the sides on the front side of the radiator as expected. There are ways to help prevent that to some extent on a car, but not really on my setup. Anyway, the price has almost doubled since I bought mine about 2 years ago.
