I had asked a question earlier to a member if this was your stripe kit. He said yes.

I recently purchaced one from you for my Duster. Please tell me this stripe is not like the one you sent me. I did not open it yet

It is cut wrong if it is . This is and original stripe and what I expect it to look like. Did you correct them since the brown car or are they the same? If Its the same as above You can clearly see its way off and I cannot use it.

I still have the original twister side stripes in there original boxes I didn't use . Due to my car being a 340 car they were different. But the contour would be the same. These stripes are OEM on this orange car you stated yours are copy righted. Why Are they Different? The surround stripe is thinner and the ends are cut to short and totally wrong.

Dear Old Man Mopar. I have no idea who you are or what kit you may purchased from us. Please call at 480-941-4550 and request assistance

My name is Steve kiss. After my duster was totaled I bought a complete black duster stripe kit to have for my new build. I did not open them yet and didn't want to if this is your stripe for a 71 duster on this brown car I will not use it.

Not my car(s), but if someone's going to put copyrights on their product it sure as hell better be identical.

I agree 100%. A purchaser expects the product to be factory correct. Unfortunately, the stripe set that I purchased from Phoenix for my 1970 Duster 340 were not identical to NOS stripes that I had. They did offer to make me a correct set if I allowed them to use my NOS ones for patterns. I didn't accept the offer. I assumed that they would be correct already. Not the case.

Not sure who's car the brown Duster is, OR if it's a Phoenix kit, but I'm curious to see what transpires.
Sorry to read yours were not correct as well.

Phoenix Graphix uses NOS stripes to reproduce kits. There is always a variation in color and exact size to any kit especially a stripe. Manufacturers rolled these off the assembly line in mass production.. We have never had any issues with this kit. Please just return the kit and we will refund your money.

Steve Kiss. I can't find you in my records. Please provide and invoice number before you return and merchandise.

The stripes pictured on the brown car is a picture of a Duster in the for sale forum. I asked the poster where he bought the graphics in the thread.

This is not nit picking at all. We put a lot of money in these cars to make them correct. A stripe kit advertised that it is copy writed. should at least be close to factory.

Phoenix Graphix 1971-72 Plymouth Duster Decal Kit

The ad states the following

"This 1971-72 Plymouth Duster stripe kit is manufactured to meet or exceed OEM stripe/decal standards. Your surviving muscle car deserves the best restoration stripe kit on the market. Our Plymouth-style stripe and decal kits will restore your classic Duster back to factory specifications."

I have a factory OEM kit for a Twister. They are old and I don't trust the glue.

I have purchased from Phoenix Graphics previously and been pleased with both product and service.
OP - Seems pretty simple. You have the original. You have the new. Open the can and compare the two. If they don't meet your requirements deal with vendor. These pissing contests over a picture of someone else's vehicle and 3rd party info are ridiculous.

Read this thread www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/1971-duster-340.432660/ Why would he lie?
PISSING CONTEST?
I did not open them and thought it is best not to if I want to return them. I saw the brown car for sale on this site and saw the stripe was totally wrong so I asked on that ad where he got the stripes? " Specifically the tail stripe ". I didn't want to add to his sale thread so I came here to ask phoenix personally. I thought maybe they corrected them . When I clicked on there name this is where it brought me. I thought I could deal with them directly. I did not know this was an open forum. But! They never did answer that question anyway. They only said they didn't have records of my purchase.

You can plainly see they are wrong . If you think these stripes are ok to be sold as OEM standards you need to get your glasses checked pal. And I come to find out I am not the only one that had this problem with Phoenix. I was told buy other members that they took it on the chin and just bought the stripes from another Vendor. Whats $200 I'll just have to eat crackers and water for a couple weeks. I hope it rains so the dogs will have night crawlers to eat . And the wife? she wanted to go on a diet anyway.

I would suggest you

Mr. Kiss,
If this our product just return it. We will refund you. I have had Sales and Shipping look for your name and we can't find you. Simply provide us with the PO number on the label so we can be prepared for your return. You claim the box is unopened so the label should be right there.

I don't need to return them. I'll give them to a friend on here for his birthday. He don't have much money and he won't care. He'll just be happy for stripes. Just check into the tail stripe and correct it. Steve

Mr. Kiss unless you can provide me with a tracing from your original car ( we will provide you with the tracing paper) or an NOS stripe that I can measure against what I have to see what the problem is you are talking about there is no way for us to "correct it."

Here is my Tail Panel of my 72, the style is essentially the same as the orange car pictured above other than the different tail lights but essentially the same type of style, I bought the whole car kit (Side strips 340 numbers and tail panel) from Phoenix and installed them in the spring of last year, and yes I am extremely happy with how the car turned out with the kit I purchased from them.

If they will permit you to open your package so you can examine the rear stripes to look at them and see if they match the style of the orange ones, and if not allow the return of the kit providing you did not peel off any paper from the front or back of the decals, the stripe(s) will be visible through the outer layer of paper enough to determine if they are correct like the pic of the orange car or not. I'm banking on them being the correct ones.
