High volume oil pump and oil capacity

I read this and chuckled. The question was 5 or 6 quarts. This fellow said this:
"It being a /6, it's 5. If it has a high volume oil pump, it can literally suck most if not all the oil from the pan before there is enough to keep the flow going. Volume being the operative word. Not to be confused with a high pressure oil pump."
 
A high volume pump in a slant is neither wanted or needed .
We kinda sorta have them already, since the industry went to the hydraulic lifter engine pump across the board. I know you know that, but people just don't think about it.
