Just a tip of the hat to atomicDog and the hood spring he sells. Installed mine the other day and the tension is just right for my light weight FB hood.

Same here. I am thinking of just removing the lower bracket from the hinge and just using the upper one. Then no spring is needed.

Hey guys, sorry for not responding sooner..worn out from working on the car today and just now getting back to the computer. check out the link above for atomicDog..sorry I didnt take any pictures of the install. very simple to do, biggest issues was the loosey-goosey hinges even after the hinge was install. mine were really flopping around with slop. I put a spacer on one side in between the hinge and the hood, while trying to improve the fit, and it took all the slop out of the hinges AND aligned my hood as well!
