hello SL-6 lovers.
I have a 1968 Dodge Dart 270, SL-6. What is the correct carb adjustment procedure for the HOLLEY 1-barrell carb model 1920? I am talking about idle, idle mixture, and high speed.

I am close to perfection. Car idles nicely, kick down almost working (a little lag). My problem is a hesitation between 45-50 mph when I accelerate. Momentary slow down, and then I try to accelerate again where it may or may not pick up speed. Traveling slower (down to 40-45 mph) regains consistent speed, accelerate toward 60 mph, hesitation again before car finally runs at 60 mph. Lucky I am on back roads and not on an interstate. Exiting on a ramp also shows some hesitation as I down speed.

I am thinking float level needs to be checked? Bad gas? Ignition is at 5 deg BTDC, dwell is 43 deg. (timing will be adjusted to 0 deg TDC as specified from factory). Carb was rebuilt last year, maybe measurements/ckts goofed up!!!

Any help w/ overall adjustment (bench or on car) would be appreciated.

Thx...great forum, great people, great Dodge Darts for ever.
