I'm using this Holley 80457 on my Duster build and was set up for first start up of fresh rebuild mild 318
I bought the motor complete about 3 years ago. I would turn it periodically by hand and it was stored in heated space. As I turned motor over to start, and having good fuel pressure, the carburetor began leaking in the front and back. Another mechanic in the shop where I was borrowing a lift that day said the bowls must be stuck due to sitting.
This is a low budget build so please don't suggest I get an Eddie or TQ lol
What do I do? No experience at all with carb building or adjustments.
Any suggestions are welcome
Thanks

looks like its time for a rebuild kit. Holly's are famous for the gaskets drying up and shrinking. Easy to do, you can do it.

Plus Holley's website is great, they have videos on how to do a complete rebuild.

Called Holley today and they recommend the fast rebuild/refresh kit for this Street Avenger. It's on the way to me now...

They are so simple to do, plus you will understand another component in your car on your car.

hour- hour and a half. Couple cans of carb cleaner to clean parts. just lay it out as you take it apart, clean and reverse.
