Hello, was wondering what you guys running the sniper did with your PCV valve? As of now I have mine just in the valve cover, not hooked up to anything and the sniper seems to be running fine. I have the stock 340 air cleaner, that has the nozzle in back to hook up the pcv valve with a hose. Was thinking about doing that. Any ideas, thanks

The nipple on the air cleaner goes to the crankcase breather in the valve cover.

The PCV valve gets hooked to manifold vacuum, usually through a fitting on the base of a carburetor.
The sniper should have a fitting on the rear that the instructions label as "brake booster". If you're not using power brakes (or if you have the booster plumbed to the intake manifold), use that one for your PCV hookup.

If neither of those options work out for various reasons, there's a pipe plug on the front of the throttle body that's also manifold vacuum- it isn't mentioned in the manual. Just remove the plug and put a hose barb fitting in there and you'll be good to go.

Its not spelled out in the instructions but here is a discussion on the topic. Basically plumb it like you do a carburetor, I suggest the ME Wager PCV valve. It's awesome.

PCV Valve

The Air cleaner nipple should go to the opposite valve that the PCV valve is in. It is important to hook that up.

got it thanks PCV to one of the vacuum ports on back of sniper

I was advised to use a fixed orfice Fram FV410 for my holley efi setup.

Hello Confusedcuda,
Short answer is that a variable PCV valve confuses the IAC. The IAC is constantly trying to compensate for the changing volume of air the variable PCV is introducing into the engine.
This translates into idle/cruse issues.
Install a fixed orifice and reset the the IAC as described in this vid.

You can also use the PCV1009DL fixed valve.....
Hope this helps...
Happy Mopar :)

Good to know as the ME Wagner can be set up as a Fixed Orifice and I'll be installing a Sniper later this year, hopefully...

sometimes you need a orifice pcv, i used one from a GM, cant remember from which one.
Here the link information to the orifice.
PCV Question

Use your big port at the throttle body.

Thanks for a great link, I run a Gen 3 Hemi so no sniper per say but the article was well written and very informative across the board for better understanding Holley fuel logic. I support the Hemi with Holley! I have fought the high idle issue. Thanks again guy.

Does anyone know, if this PCV valve is supposed to have anything in it? A spring, flap, ball, etc. it's like an empty pcv shell.
