Tired of screwing around.
Rope or air. I usued rope for the number one cylinder on this short block build. When you compress the spring, what keeps the valve from going with it? (I'm guessing it's to be used on a head still installed on the motor)
I made mine to use with the heads off, for solid roller springs.
piston at TDC.When you compress the spring, what keeps the valve from going with it?
I read that post. Did a ton of research. Can't know how the pressure is any different at TDC than BDC. I think RRR was alluding to that.I made an adapter for putting air in the cylinder, out of a gutted spark plug. Only problem, I tried it on my tired old 283 in my 55....... and the air turned the motor over, and pushed the piston to the bottom of the cylinder.
TrueThat might not give enough spring compression
