Hood Hinge mounting pin dimension

Like the title says. Can anyone that has the front fender off of their A Body help me out with the center to center Hood Hinge mounting pin dimension.

The 1/2" pins that the hinge mounts to.

I measured my hinge pin spacing (drivers side) and I get between 8 1/4 and 8 5/16 center to center. Wish I had a 10" calipers to get a better measurement for you. It did look like the center line of the lower pin is centered in the center line of the rounded notch in the body panel.

The top hood pin of my 66 came off. I found it in the bottom of the Driver's Side Kick Panel. So, if your fender is off and you find the pin, it can be welded back on. It looks like you have to either attach a wire to the pin and fish it up through the kick panel access and weld it from the outside. I'm going to replace it with a bolt, washer and a lock nut.
