eventually ill be gettin the dual hood scoops for my dart. i read that if you dont run like a hose from the holes in the hood to the carb, the engine will choke. i want to install these correctly to maximize performance and mileage

any tips? i dnt plan on installin soon but i wanna keep the tips in reserve for when i will be doin the scoop install. thanks!

Don't need any hoses from the hood to air cleaner.

My car runs fine with just holes cut in the hood.

Your stock hood doesn't have any scoops or holes and your car runs fine.

So….

Your engine won't choke.

The scoops probably won't make a (noticeable) difference in power or gas milage but they will look cool.

to you have a template for cutting the holes by chance?
How about this?

For drilling the holes that are in the bracing, here's a hint.

Take a 3/8 drive socket that fits snug in the bracing holes and use it as a drill guide. Put the square drive towards the hood.
