hood spring issue

you guys may want to check your hood springs once in a while. i was doing some cleaning and looked down and saw this. only about 1/8" holding the spring on. next step is to weld some heavy flat washers on the pin. if the spring had come off it could be nasty and dangerous.

I thought that's what you meant. I just wondered if one spring letting go would drop it, or maybe just let it sag down slowly. :dontknow:

But I'm not gonna do that experiment! :grin:
