Hood tension spring

What is the best plan of attack on reinstalling the hood tension spring that is on the inner fender? The passengers side on the 71 Dart has popped off the end. Is there a way to correct without removing the fender?

It can be done, but it requires lots of patience. Pull the hood and the inner fender. That should allow you access to the hinge.

We just replaced a hinge on my Demon.

You might be able to get to it with the inner fender splash
shield removed.
