Ok its a Chevy.... but it please help..... its a '96 Chevy Tahoe and on the right fan area in the inside around the glove box when you start the truck up or its running it all of a sudden makes this sound like a fan hitting foam. And my uncle is a Mopar car guy looked and tore it apart and couldnt fix it. And if you shut the truck off it stops most of the time, some times not. And its very new and the truck doesnt have a ton of miles on it. And we think its possible a vacuum thing can you help!

if your uncle mopar the superbird guy cant help, dive in there yourself and give it a shot

Try unloading a can of Raid into her, that sound is the same sound that crickets make when their mateing.:glasses7::lol:

Well i could go and rip all the vacuum stuff out and replace it and see if it helps...

There isn't any "vacuum stuff" to rip out. It's all electronic.

There are three different actuators: 1 for the blend(temperature), 1 for mode(where the air comes out at) and 1 for recirculation or fresh air.

If it isn't the fan itself then it could be one of the actuators failing. They have gear teeth on them. You need to get your ear up to it and listen.

The one for the mode is far left by driver's foot, the blend is behind the ashtray area, and the recirc is up top under the top of the dash.
