That is on my bucket list of things to do. I seen on Hot Rods facebook page the fast cars all running near 7.00 et's after two days it's looking pretty close competition for four time champ Larry Larson.
Larry did knock one 6.94et out of the park on the first day.

The Aussie Charger broke their powerglide on their first pass in Dallas. If they make it to Shreveport it will be a miracle.
Larson is barely in the lead after two days, he ran 209 in Dallas, the flat black 57 Chevy ran 212 both in Tulsa and Dallas but he is 5 hundreds behind Larson at this time.

I saw the RX7 / 360 make a pass but could not find him in the pits....The silver car is an Australian Dodge Charger.

Thanks for posting the pics!! As much as I like Larson's Nova, it'd be nice to see somebody upset him finally. Is Terzich (think that's how its spelled) there with the Procharged Camaro? I had heard rumors that he was gonna be there with a new combo this year

I see the "A" body Mopar has some good representational on Drag Week. This might be the black Barracuda that's leading the Modified N/A class running 10.115 average for the three days. Looks like a 68 but they list it as a 67. I seen a rear picture and the rear looks like a 67 with the back up lights down below the bumper.
Not sure what this second car is but I kind of like it!

Is that a triumph TR6 with some sort of v8 & drag setup? First off, how in the hell did they do that, i've seen those engine bays. A modern 2.0 4cyl is a squeeze in that engine bay and secondly, that's got to be the scariest car to drive. Even if it only runs 11s, its sketchy, sideways in every gear 11s. lol

A tube frame Triumph TR6, wheelbase stretched 14" running a single turbo, fuel injected Pontiac 455.... went 9.30 at Dallas
I didn't see the 38 Dodge coupe in Dallas, must not have made it.....
As good as that RX7 / 360 is running sounds like it is liking road tripping...........

Jason ran a 12.04 yesterday at Memphis. Car has basically picked up at every stop so far.
Only issue and I hope he paid attention to the rules, they take your avg for the 4 stops and DEDUCT .10 from it for your dial in during eliminations tonight. If Tulsa is the slowest track, there are going to be a bunch of guys with unattainable dial ins. I noticed more than a few cars dumping the stripe to get slips that were slower et's. Likely for figuring that averaged dial in. I think you get to choose which timeslip you turn in if you made3 multiple runs.

Yes, he still has it. He actually was in the process of removing it to send back to me because he thought he had it too long and he didn't want to use it during DW. I told him run the thing and get some laps with it as it was collecting dust here.
Looks like he's found some stuff because it's picked up around .25 and 4+ MPH. He's doing a great job sorting it out.

Went out to TRP at lunch today.
Overcast & drizzle, I hope they get to finish.
They were drying out the track & going to get it going at 3:00PM.
The track is only a couple of miles away.
Guess I'll slide out of here in a little bit.

The Barracuda is a 67, some may know him as sixpackgut from moparts, it's a nasty little combo that he has been prepping for a little while. :cheers:
