HOT running mopar 360LA

I'll chop the top hose to lower it under the cap. I just don't understand why cutting out the fenders would make it run from 195 to 210 just like that...... I wonder if me flushing the system caused crap to move. I need to pull the freeze plugs and inspect and see if the person who did my block just knocked them in there, or if there is engine casting in there, or whatever.I have never checked or thought about that untill the other day. Would sure make a lot of sense.
