Hello all,,
Has anyone used the Hotchkis quick ratio idler and pitman arm on an A-body with factory manual steering.
Looking to use it on a 70 Dart 340 Swinger.
Input on using it vs stock replacement parts please.
Thank you.

I would also like to know. Thanks for bringing it up.

We have a 65 Barracuda, manual box. Been weighing fast ratio pitman OR the new-ish 20:1 box from PST.

I just wonder what the effective ratio would be with fast arms and the factory box vs the 20:1?

About the same.

The fast ratio (1-2” longer) pitman will hit factory headpipes and most all headers in an a-body.

The tti shorty headers might fit.

Better off getting a 20:1 or 16:1 manual box.

Fast Ratio pitman and idler is $100 or so more than stock ones. 16:1 new steering boxes are $300. Steering boxes last longer than pitman arms. And you get a new tight steering box out of it.
