If this is in the wrong forum, a mod can move it for me.

I have a car I want to research the history of, hoping to include the owners names and how long they owned it.

I know the history from now back to about 1998. I have a gap there. If the machine shop that did the engine in 1993 I could probably fill that in.

I know in 1984 who had the car registered.

How do I fill in the gaps???????

Thank You.

Have you called up your county tax assessor's office, state DOT/DMV?

I believe those would be the steps I'd take in Texas to research past ownership...your state is likely different...and the research may incur a fee.

Good luck

I was told two weeks ago from the Ohio Title bureau that due to privacy laws they can only go search back 7 years. Good Luck...I need research from 1990 back to 1971

Thanks for the tips.

As luck would have it, I have a cousin with a dealers license. Well, he is married to and sleeping with my cousin. So close enough.

Time to call in some favors.

Thanks
