Can I use this solder?this is exactly the way i done my board 8 years ago , no problems since . to the op get a butane pencil torch and clean everything super clean you will be hard pressed to get the heat with the iron . also use t.v. radio flux core solder . this is what worked for me and is very easy to do .

BUT, as others have said, the strength comes the mechanical staking operation. Attaching w just solder, and it will break again after a few potholes. I'd send it to Mike.
