OK - so, I am considering going with a 4-Link kit from Auto Weld Chassis for my '73 Dart Sport project to go drag racing. They have some nice looking products. Guy I talked to said I need to have the tires-n-wheels (sizes) and take measurements from that.

I hate to spend the $$ for tires that are going to sit around for one to two years before the car is actually ready (which at that point they are probably no good).

So how do I determine the "right size" tire and wheel setup for my car??

At this point, I am not completely sure what motor combo I am using. Considering "twin screws", but not sure if I want to go big block or small block. More than likely automatic tranny with transbrake.

On top of that, what needs to happen to the front end to make it all work. Looking at tubular control arms for upper and lower (QA1??), stock K-frame - though I would like to move the motor back several inches for weight transfer.

Other option was just going with the Cal-Tracs and moving springs into frame rail - which I have done before (fell on hard times and had to sell that car). Tubular control arms, etc...

Would appreciate any thoughts and ideas!!

THANKS!!!

Base it off the widest tire that will fit under the car. YOu can always run a narrower tire if you want to or need to.

67-69 dart is a 13" section width tire. Regardless of how you slice it, the frame rail and the inner 1/4 are the limits.
