How do you remove plastic window rivet?

I was able to remove the drivers side glass on 69 vert, but dont do that in reverse. I may look at installing new ones when re-assembling, but for now want to remove it un broken. What's the secret?

First penetrating oil for lubrication. Support the other side of the rivet. Now with hammer and punch knock out that center piece out the other side. Just be careful but that is how you release that center pin.

Gave it a good soaking( had previously sprayed it at initial disassembly). Laid out on bench, used small punch, rubber mallet and small 1/2" socket 1/4 drive. Trying to be super careful as those vertical plastic leading edge pieces appear to be intact and good shape. Couple firm but gentle taps and it popped right out!
I may even be able.to reuse them.

I wasn't really too worried about breaking the rivet, the glass is vert specific tho lol.

New black cushions warmed up and installed. The female bushing piece is installed. Let it sit overnight before I put the pin back in.

Detroit Muscle and others offer that rivet. Piece of rubber hose on a 1/4-20 X1 bolt with flat washer and nyloc nut works also.

I was contemplating ordering from DMT, but unfortunately they wont ship USPS, so I wont be using them. My Uncle used to work at auto parts mfg plant and "acquired" some of these adhesive rubber pads that I used for the bottom of the glass. He gave a whack to Dad who gave some to me. 10 years later I found a use for them lol. Got LOTS if anybody wants some. Work great, very pliable once warmed up.
