I bought my '70 340 Dart on May 30th 1986...almost 23 years ago. A long line a Mopars have come and gone since, but the Dart is still here. How long have you held the keys to your A body ?

Bought my 65 Dart GT convertible in Mar of 84; now undergoing a complete nuts and bolts refurbishment. Well OK, going from the slant 6 to a 340 with all the resultant and costly upgrades.

69 barracuda bought in november 1986
71 dart... august 2002
73 duster november 2004

AARcuda......................july 13, 1973

I have two 69 340 Swingers, the first one I bought in like 1976, used to street race it back then, did a stupid thing like forgot to put A/Freeze in it after racing and the engine broke a rocker arm so I let it sit and forgot and the block froze, cracked the lifter galley. Then got married, fixed it for the wife and we had matching 69 Swingers because I bought the other one around 1980. The wife's went to the brother in law for a year or so as he really messed it up then I got it back after he destroyed it. Still have them both. Never plan on selling them.
My first 69 Swinger 340 I bought in 1973, it died a slow death from cancer being back in Ohio at the time. Lots of fun and memories!

1967 barracuda convertible Feb 1984 (25 years in a few months!!)

1974 dart Sport 340 November 1996

Had a few mopars and chevys before ( and got rid of them shortly after getting the cuda!). Mostly trucks , commuter cars and an occasional parts car since.

PS: I raced a guy from Suitland, MD who is the original owner of a 1970 340 Duster. Car is extremely clean, fast and he is very good bracket racer, but 38 years of practice make him good.

I bought my Barracuda in April of 1974. My first car & I still have it. What's left of it anyway. I drove it hard & put it away wet!

I was carted home from the hospital in a 63 Dart in 1965. Since then, my family has owned 10 or more of them. I bought my first in 1983, and have had 5 since then, and still have the 63, a 72 swinger, and the first one I owned, a 73 Sport.

I'm very attached to my "A" (and it to me:bootysha: ) so that's a bit over 53 years.

The Sedan I bought early last year, and I bought "IT" in September of last year. My brother on the other hand, has owned his 340 Swinger since the late 70's or early 80's.

Had other Mopars run through the family from 1962 on. All of my A-bodies have been restorations. My first A-body was a 66 Dart 270 HT 3-on-the-tree that I bought in 1991. Sold it in 1993, bought a 66 Dart GT HT HP in 1994 and sold in 2000. Went through a five-year, no A-body, detox before I fell off the wagon and bought the 72 Demon in 2005. Since that became a black hole for money, I bought a 73 /6 Dart Custom 4-door as a daily driver in August of last year. Plan on hanging onto the last two for a while.

My mom and here boyfriend, who was allso my good friend Lyle bought the Dart in 1991. I took it over in 1998 when they split up. The car was in moms name. He did not want mom to get the car. So he made here a deal that if I helped him get it running again. I could have it. We all most had it back together when he was killed in a motorcycle accident. I keep the car in memory of him. I don't think I can ever sell it.

Owned it 3 1/2 years. About 1.5 years to go on build. She was a nice straight creampuff before the cutting wheel.

It's just my 2nd Mopar. My Road Runner was my first. Can't wait to get this bruiser on the street.
