I own the one in my Avatar. 73 340 V8. Originally a Massachusetts car, now happily living in the South. Soon to have that passenger door replaced with a rust free Southern Door from a donor 74 Dart.
I've got a '73. originally Slant S%$T, but that piece blew in february. Now getting a proper engine in the form of a 360, backed up by a B&M built 727 and a 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 sure grip. Will return to daily driver duty once complete.
First pic is of how it looked when last on the road, second of how it sits now (only now it is minus the masking, and yes, I did paint it on the side of my house), third of the new engine as of yesterday.
here is my 74 Duster. I'm away from home and all I have is some really old pics on my work laptop, but here they are. The one taken with the car on the hoist looking up at the rar end is later pic, you can tell all the road dust on the car.
dam, i can't make that last pic smaller even though I shrank the size???
1974 Duster here, for sale if anybodys interested. We saved it from a fate worse than the boneyard, the field behind the "good ol' boys" house!!! Been working on it all summer to get it ready to pass along to the next lucky owner. Geof
Duster guys...please register your cars....www.dusterdartsportregistry.com. Anyways, here's my '73. Paid $650 for it back in Feb. 2009. Needed a new starter, starter relay and tune up and it runs awesome now. It's a 318 904 auto. Newer Flowmaster exhaust & Hooker Comp. headers. Needs carpet, headliner and the front seat redone. Me and my grandpa (that's where I had the car until it was driveable) patched the front floor pans (minor rust) and did some bondo work on the sail panels and lower quarters. I'm hoping to send it in for body and paint soon. It was originally gold with a full black vinyl, now it's dark blue and it's going black with 340 stripes.
