1.78 & 1.5 valves good enough?

Goal is long distance driving


800-4800 operating rpm, 3800 pound car, 2.76 gears, manual trans

I wouldn't get too worried about head flow; that is a very mild cam, only slightly larger than a stock 360 2bbl cam. Years ago I put one into a 1965 Hi-Po 273 that also received a set of 302 heads, worked out very nicely. Go for it!
 
That's an excellent cam for lo compression engines...even 340, for street driving.Tons of torque, smooth idle, pulls hard and gets excellent mileage.
Not a quarter mile piece.All but the drag racers will like it.
