How much is a Rear window defrost system worth?

What's a fair price ? This guy on eBay is selling it for $395 he brought it down a $100 for me but is that fair?
 
With no link and no pictures and no description of condition how in the world are we supposed to know?
 
Seems to be missing the grill that goes over the motor assembly . Also the wiring harness needs work.
 
Also I have a 1973 duster with a folding down rear seat so the package tray is different would that make this hard to install ?

I've been seeing others install it but it's on cars with th speaker setup for non folding rear seat
 
iT MPoMTS WHERE THE REAR SPEAKER WILL MOUNT on the package tray and it is a defogger, defroster is in the glass it self, super rare.
 
I put one on my 72 Demon not long after I bought it new. Best I remember, the air intake was just through speaker holes that were punched in the fiberboard package shelf cover. There wasn't anything like an aftermarket speaker grill. And it just blows air that pulls in. It doesn't heat it.
 
Most are like that. There is a adapter that can put a speaker in also, I have that. Also the mounts are different for the motor plate itself on A, B,, C and e. Just subtle you can make them all work.
 
I bought mine for a 1972 Dart off FABO for $60 from a member here. That included everything.
 
There is also no grille when installed in a 70 Dart either, just the perforated speaker openings in the package tray.. It is a shame that someone was so lazy that they cut the switch wires instead of pulling the sill plates and taking the whole wire bundle out. If it all works and I wanted one I wouldn't balk at $100-125 - it looks to be in good shape and wouldn't need much if any restoration. I bought a 70 Dart with one of these in it and was so tickled with how well it worked that I have installed one in both my other Darts. if you buy it and need pics of the wiring, connectors and routing let me know - I might even have one of those wiring runs.

My 76 dart sport has the heated glass. Not rare in canada.

Thanks Ray, I was wondering what made my C body versions different.

For pricing, I've paid $80 and $130, I knew I paid too much for the $130 package.
