How old is your project?

my '68 Barracuda sat since about 1973. I got the car in 2002 and it's been a slow burn since then. Currently stripped and in primer. Should get painted after the holidays.

I just got my '71 Swinger this spring. I don't know how long it sat before I got it, but it's painted and I'm working on putting it back together. It's about 50% back together. Two totally different rates of progress, but then the cars have two totally different goals.

Hey I remember this car. It's been a while since I saw it though. You need to get to work and get that thing finished.

I have had my 67 Formula S 1 year and I have been working on it here and there over the 8 months....

Man, I was I had the patience some of you guys have. The older I get the worst my OCD gets and I just can't stand to have a unfinished project.
Here it is in Febuary 2011

I built this Duster over the course of 4 years and it about Killed me, I'm just to damn impatient
IMG_4052.jpg

I wanna build another I just don't know if I can do it w/ out driving my self nuts. I get in this mode where once I start sinking money in something I stress out about it not getting done and wasting My Families Money.

My 69 Coronet Wanna Bee clone - Drove it home 15 years ago. 90% of the body work is done. It still sits as an empty shell waiting it's turn...

I have motorcycles I bought back in the 80's that I still haven't gotten around to fixing up
that's why I bought a barracuda that runs!

Longer than I can or care to remember.. bought it in the late 80's? Early 90's? Geez... hoping to get back on it soon.
First step is to get all the crap off of it.. they say nature hates a vacuum...

71 Dart.. pretty much finished a 4 year rebuild in late 2007 or early 2008 and have driven about 1/2 mile since. Just sent the power brake booster off to Dewey's this week.

70 Duster....been in 2 different body shops for over 2 years. Been sitting in the current body shop untouched for almost a year and half now.

71 Charger... was suppose to be painted by last Feb-March but is still not painted. It is almost ready for paint so not all has been lost.

73 Barracuda...bought in 2005 or 06....trailered it to our storage shop and have not touched since.

71 Satellite Sebring Plus....49k mile car...same as the Barracuda. Got it in storage as soon as I got it and have not touched it since. Of all the cars I have, it is the one that I would like to have completed back to "as new". It is by far my favorite car in the small collection.

22+ years.

I bought the car as a roller in 1989. It was complete, but the 318 under the hood was sitting there not bolted down and was from the mid 70's. Car had not been on the road since 1982 at that point.

I had it running in about a month with a 383 in it. Drove it that way for a while. The 383 expired, and I swapped in a stock truck 413 so I could drive it when I needed to. In Summer 1993 I moved and left it in stored at my folks house when I transferred into UT Austin and got married. The following summer I returned and put together a stock 440 for the car and drove it to Austin. Drove it weekly until 1996. The front suspension needed to be gone through in a bad way and I stored it at a friend's house until we bought our house in 1998. By 1999 I was driving it again about once a week. The camshaft broke and destroyed the engine so I built a much nicer 440. From 1999 to 2008 I drove it at least once a month including the move from Austin to Dallas in 2006. I started having electrical problems and fuel pump problems with the car in 2008 and my youngest was born in August of that year. I have not driven the car since.

At this point I think it is going to get new paint, new electrical, etc. The past three years I have been steadily collecting parts and getting things ready. The other option is to do the electrical and a few other things I want and drive it for a while before I make the committment to take the car apart for paint.

my 40 coupe has been off the road 3 years now,,hope to have some luck in the next few weeks,,

I got my Dart in 97 I think. It's been put together and taken apart a few times. It's never moved under it's own power. It was always kept indoors untill June of last year when I got married. If it spends another wet winter outside it might not be worth building.

I picked my 72 duster up in july of 09 I believe. and I still cant call it done ( depressing :banghead: ) lol.

It has came a LONG way since I got it but it is still not DONE.....pretty much down to body work and paint and some odds and ends but i hope to get it "finished" by this summer. All depends....between family, new baby on the way, bills, moving and all the other day to day stuff I have not been able to work on the duster in months but I am hoping to get back on it soon.

here are some pics of when i got it and some of the things I have done and some of it as it currently is.
