How quick is a 5.9 in an a-body

Hey gentlemen, those of you that have done the conversion and left the factory injection, how fast was your car? I am planning on putting on the headers, and duals, but otherwise bone stock. I want to get the car back on the road, sooner as opposed to later. A stock 5.9 is rated at 245 hp, and 34ish torque, that's as good as any 340 a body was when new. Is or was yours a 14 second car, 15's? Did some of you break into the 13's. Inquiring minds wanna know!:burnout:

Had a bone stock 5.9 in a 71 Scamp with a 904 manual valve body, TCI Streetfighter converter and 4.30's that went about 13.8 @ 98-100. Way too much gear and was out of rev's before finish line. Mine was air gap intake and 650 carb but very close to what you could expect. Long story short, 13's is very realistic with the right combo of other parts
