I've used THICK bearing grease in the socket too!

It takes me a little longer than that, and I only use hand tools as well. But… I usually start cussing and getting pissed off because some of the top bolts are a pain in the *** to get to.

But… I’m younger and just a pretty face

I start the cussing just to get in the wrenching mood.

I use some modeling clay like when I check for tolerances to hold the bolts in the sockets. Easy to wipe off.

Thank you! I did this with the 3’ extension and wobble, bolts went in super easy, piece of cake.

Yes sir those 2 top bolts where you do the 2 finger twiddle seems like it takes an hour and taught me a valuable lesson. When building my old Dodge I recessed the firewall enough to throw a cat in behind there
I figured I ain`t gettin no younger.
