How Tight Is It?

My set up never seemed too tight to me. I have worked on others that were far worse.

Anyway. Put a 400 or 440 or a 452 or a 500 in it! Build an engine with proper quench and good exhaust, you will be happy as heck I think. I have never had as much fun (driving) in a car as when I had a 10-1 462 cube olds in a 3150# highway machine w tall gears. Friggin torque is a fantastic feeling. Roll the throttle and pull from 65 to 135 in high gear going up a mountain side.

Apparentlythe low block is a bit more reasonable with space and clearance.

Are they tight? Yea a little..Are they fun?.....Hell yes!! Mine's a low deck 470" but I know a couple guys that have 440's using TTI headers, it works. Nothing more fun than BB torque!!!!:burnout:
