Hey All

I've decided to ask about any gotchas *before* I get started on this.

Is there any special trick to removing the power steering box in a '71 Dart? It looks like there is a roll pin or something involved in separating the box from the steering shaft?

Any help is appreciated!

Steve

You have to punch that pin out. Or you could take the pin out of the pot coupiling but all the guts would come out. Then just take the bolts that hold it onto the K frame out and the lins off. You will allso need a seperator to get the pitman arm off.

Good luck.

you will probably need a 12 point 1/2" socket for the bolts that hold it to the K-frame. I did.

Don't know what your plans are. If you are planning to replace power w/non-power steering, you will need either the longer steering column used with manual steering or an adapter to bridge the distance.
