How to "search" for threads?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but for the life of me cant figure out how to do a "thread search". Meaning I wanted to look up thread started by 6pk2godemon. Where she swapped from 2 bl to 4 bbl, LD4B intake and other stuff. So I go to "search" enter her name as well as LD4B. But I get a"error, please try again" or something like that.
Ideas?
 
I almost never used the site search, but rather Google. Of course you need some key words that "you know" were in the thread
